THE WOW OF THE SOUTH
The ‘Grand Old Lady’, our pride in the city center of Breda: the Great Church of Breda. Our roots lie in Breda, so you can guess we were filled with joy when we heard that we could light up our church! ‘ As proud as a peacock’ as we say in Dutch. What we are also proud of: the collaboration with lighting designer Ellen de Vries. Commissioned by the municipality of Breda, it was up to Ellen to make a design for the church. An impressive scene, in which we could bring this showpiece from beautiful to WOW.
IDEA TO REALITY
As soon as the wishes of both Ellen de Vries and the municipality of Breda were clear, Livingprojects could start with the development and installation of the technical components. With the RGBW installation of hundreds of LED modules, meters upon meters of cables and many DMX channels, Ellen’s beautiful design came to life. Lighting that emphasizes the monumental character and that highlights the age-old details. Those who pass through the church or enjoy the view from a distance, cannot help but gaze at this amazingly beautiful church.

“People can experience the possibilities with LED lighting. On regular evenings the church is cloaked in beautiful white light, so we can see her as clear as day. On special occasions, the color can be adjusted, for example during Carnaval or King’s Day. ”
GRAND OPENING
The new lighting of the Grand Old Lady in Breda was celebrated with a blitzing light show. Councilor Adank gave green light for this show, in which all elements that are possible with the light installation were shown. The show ended with the church shining in the standard lighting that can be seen on regular days. But on special occasions we often see the church changing color!
