The building is a landmark of international allure! Holland Casino called in Livingprojects for the realization of the dynamic media facade. The result? An indispensable and special appearance that gives the Holland Casino brand a worldwide boost! Oh, and a wow-factor in abundance. In short: jackpot!

An iconic building

It had to be an iconic building. A translation of everything Holland Casino stands for. Mission complete! At least, if you ask us. Holland Casino Venlo 2.0 is grand, different, and spectacular. It really feels Vegas-like, but better. Located along the A67, close to the German border, Holland Casino is a true welcoming gate that catches many eyes. And that’s largely thanks to the LED lighting on the facade, which ensures the building is visible even in the evening and night.

Thematic LED lighting

The remarkable building of Holland Casino Venlo was designed by MVSA Architects, in collaboration with Arcadis and Gensler. The exterior facade is built up of a grid of large glass sequins, developed by Sorba. Behind these sequins, Livingprojects placed LED lighting from Color Kinetics, allowing the entire facade to light up. The lighting of the LED facade is controlled by Pharos controls. And that’s not all: besides the entire palette of colors, the LED facade also displays video content. The entire media facade can be programmed based on, for example, seasons, theme evenings, or a specific target group of Holland Casino. Atmospheric, exactly as you’d expect from a casino.

Media facade as a worldwide business card

For both Holland Casino and the municipality of Venlo, the new building is an important business card. Both parties have ambitions to position themselves strongly at an international level. And in that case, an LED facade is an indispensable object! Such a spectacular media facade is the ideal way to express your brand identity and support your positioning. The Holland Casino brand truly gets a boost. As far as we’re concerned, Holland Casino can now rightfully say they have the most striking casino in Europe, what are we saying, worldwide!

Light as a service

We offered the media facade in Venlo according to the ‘light as a service’ principle. This means that Holland Casino rents the facade from us for a fixed amount per month. It also means that we perform preventive and corrective maintenance. And that for ten years, super unique! This ensures Holland Casino of optimal performance of the media facade!
